What are the responsibilities and job description for the Porter - Per Diem position at Daughters of Charity Ministries?
Come Join Our Team! The Daughters of Charity, provides a safe, welcoming home for the retired Sisters of the Daughters of Charity Ministries. Our team plays a vital role in creating an environment where Sisters feel respected, through independent living, assisted living and memory care.
- Perform basic maintenance tasks involving electrical and plumbing issues.
- Perform painting and carpentry tasks, where needed, both interior and exterior
- Snow removal from porches, doorways and walkways; application of ice melt where needed
- Maintain general upkeep of assigned areas.
- Maintain general building interior
- Perform commercial laundry duties
- Trash Removal.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in facilities, maintenance, or custodial work preferred
- A reliable, detail-oriented individual who takes pride in their work
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Previous experience in facilities, maintenance, or custodial work preferred
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Physical Demands: Must be physically able to efficiently perform the duties of the position, which may involve the following: standing and walking over 2/3 of the day, lifting up to 50 lbs., climbing, bending, reaching, and stooping for 1/3 to 2/3 of the day.
