SUMMARY OF POSITION
One to three years experience in general/building maintenance required. This experience must have included various skilled and semi-skilled tasks in the repair and maintenance of buildings and equipment. Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, construction, and HVAC equipment preferred.
Valid Indiana Driver's License.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
1. Must be able to endure at least eight hours continuous work requiring physical demands including but not limited to walking, climbing, bending, stretching, pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying.
- Ability to follow precise oral and written instructions.
- Ability to interpret equipment malfunctions and make proper repairs or adjustments if possible.
- Skill in the care and use of tools and equipment.
- Be alert to hazards.
- Ability to interpret and work from blueprints, sketches and diagrams.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and make technical decisions independently.
- All job duties are expected to be completed in accordance with the mission and values of the Daughters of Charity.
Summary of Duties:
Performs general and preventive maintenance on all buildings, equipment, vehicles, etc. Assists with on-site construction projects.
