Journeyman Electrician

Dauenhauer Plumbing, Heating, Air and Electric is seeking a skilled and licensed Electrician to join our team in Louisville, KY. The Licensed Electrician will be responsible for performing electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance on residential and commercial properties. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, attention to detail, and a high level of customer service.

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour

**This role is eligible for a quarterly retention bonus totaling $2,500**

Key Responsibilities:

• Electrical Installations: Safely install and connect wiring, circuit breakers, outlets, and other electrical components as required for new construction, remodels, or repairs.
• Troubleshooting and Repair: Diagnose and repair electrical issues, including troubleshooting faulty systems, wiring, and appliances.
• Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance on electrical systems to prevent issues, ensuring safety and compliance with building codes.
• Customer Service: Interact professionally with clients, providing clear explanations of the services performed and recommendations for system improvements or repairs.
• Compliance: Ensure all work meets or exceeds local, state, and national electrical codes and safety standards.
• Documentation: Accurately complete and maintain records of inspections, work completed, and materials used.

Required Qualifications:

• License: Valid Kentucky state electrician’s license
• Drivers License: With a clean driving record
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in electrical work, including residential and commercial systems.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in using electrical tools and diagnostic equipment, with a solid understanding of electrical systems, blueprints, and schematics.
• Problem-Solving: Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy equipment, work in confined spaces, and operate safely in various weather conditions.
• Safety Focus: Knowledge of OSHA regulations and commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
