What are the responsibilities and job description for the 5+ YEARS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Commercial (Ground Up) Construction Superintendent (Travel- US) position at Datum Commercial Contracting?
We are looking for a superintendent willing to travel across the US to oversee and manage construction buildout of various commercial properties. We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment that demands attention to detail.
Supervisor Responsibilities:
- Enforcing and adhering to the project schedule.
- Making sure subcontractors/ vendors meet performance expectations.
- Giving instructions or orders to subcontractors, vendors and deliveries.
- Working with the office staff with any necessary change orders and back charges.
- Ensuring that the work environment is safe, secure and compliant with OSHA regulations (OSHA 30 preferred).
- Adherence to state and local codes.
- Proactively arranging for necessary equipment.
- Keeping construction project on time and within budget.
- Ensure great customer service at all levels.
- Maintain a clean and orderly job site.
- Maintains a high level of integrity.
Environment and Physical Requirements:
- Work environment - While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in outside weather conditions.
- Physical demands - The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
Pre-requisites for this position:
- Preferably the candidate will have 5 years prior experience as a ground up commercial superintendent on jobs that exceed $5,000,000 overall value.
- Familiarity with construction management software. (Procore is a plus)
