DATTCO is now New Englands largest private passenger transportation company. Our Coach & Tour Group operates 200 vehicles and drives 6 million miles annually.
DATTCO currently has a full-time 3rd shift Diesel Technician/Mechanic opening at our Coach and Tour Fleet Maintenance location in New Britain, CT!
- Hourly Rate: $25.00$30/hr
- Additional Rate(s): overtime opportunities, $2/hr for 3rd shift differential, and ASE bonus offers.
- Schedule: 11pm-7am, Tuesday-Saturday
- Scheduled days off: Sunday Monday.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Performs scheduled preventive maintenance and service inspections on a variety of vehicles.
- Performs diagnostic and repair work on all types of vehicles.
- Completes required paperwork in regards to repair orders and parts usage.
- Makes road calls - this may require travel.
- Owns and maintains the proper hand tools to perform job functions.
- Follow orders of the shop foreman or other supervisor.
Requirements:
Education:
- High school diploma, trade school or equivalent.
Experience:
- 3 years training or experience in the field of automotive, truck or bus repair.
- Dealership experience preferred.
- Valid CT drivers license.
- Ability to obtain a DOT medical card.
- Hold or be eligible to obtain a CDL license.
- Hold or be willing to work toward ASE certifications.
Skills:
- Adequate English verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be a self-starter.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 75 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, climb, reach, twist, stand, walk, and work in and around vehicles for extended periods.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and shop equipment safely.
