Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Sterile Processing Technician to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Properly clean, disinfect, and sterilize surgical instruments and medical equipment following established protocols.
- Manage inventory of sterile supplies, ensuring accurate tracking and restocking as needed.
- Prepare surgical trays and instrument sets for upcoming procedures with attention to detail.
- Maintain detailed records of sterilization cycles, equipment maintenance, and inventory logs.
- Adhere to aseptic techniques during handling and processing of sterile items to prevent contamination.
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure all necessary instruments are available, functional, and properly sterilized.
- Follow safety guidelines related to infection control, biohazard disposal, and equipment handling.
Qualifications
- Prior experience or training in sterile processing or central sterile supply preferred.
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology to correctly identify instruments and understand their use in surgical procedures.
- Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to surgical instruments and procedures.
- Strong understanding of aseptic techniques and infection control standards.
- Ability to manage inventory efficiently and accurately track supplies using appropriate systems.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
