What are the responsibilities and job description for the Automated Test Engineer TE21-1 position at Datasync Technologies Inc?
We are looking for a Test Engineer to join our team! As a Test Engineer you will be responsible for planning and implementing of tests that prove the functional and non-functional requirements of the system. You'll be in control when it comes to the design and scripting of automatic tests on new or existing software.
Test Engineer Responsibilities:
- Test and prove that the software meets major architectural requirements.
- Develop and automate tests for software validation.
- Detect bug issues.
- Prepare file defect reports and report test progress.
- Designing and developing test automation framework and scripts.
- Collaborating with QA Analysts and Software Developers to develop solutions.
- Stay current with industry trends, making recommendations as needed to help the company excel.
Test Engineer Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
- Excellent knowledge in testing skills (design test plan and test strategy, writing test cases, executing test cases, opening bugs, verifying bugs)
- Ability to work cohesively with QA analysts and software developers to identify and debug problems, and subsequently validate software fixes through new functional testing and regression testing.
- Hands on experience with API testing and UI testing is required.
- Programming experience with Python and Javascript is a plus.
- Experience with Selenium, Katalon or similar automated tools
