Responsibilities:
- The candidate will be managing an energetic motivated team responsible for establishing the foundation, alignment, solution design and deployment, solution testing, and rollout of the Gas Work and Asset Management (GWAM) System. This system will incrementally replace and consolidate existing gas work and asset management applications and facility data with the CGI Asset and Resource Management (ARM) software suite.
- The candidate will also be responsible for the integration of the ARM software suite with existing Con Edison systems and processes. The candidate will work with the business to issue
- Request of Proposals for various aspects of this comprehensive IT solution for Gas Operations, particularly for PMO, Quality Assurance, and Information Technology system integrator services. The candidate will establish and build relationships with vendors, sponsors and stakeholders including corporate leadership.
- The individual will work with the business and selected vendors to design a manageable implementation plan which prioritizes the replacement of the systems and the integration to existing Con Edison systems and processes in a way that minimizes the impact to the business community. The candidate will direct and coordinate implementation activities, manage expectations, and communicate progress at high levels of the organization as well as monitor all aspects of the project to ensure strategic business and IT’s project management, technology, functional, compliance, and cost management goals and KPIs are met.
- The individual will monitor policy and compliance surrounding application security, cyber security, personal identification information, disaster recovery, Sarbanes Oxley, Corporate Risk Management, EH&S and software license and maintenance contracts. The candidate will establish an application roadmap with respect to patching, upgrades and product lifecycle. The individual will build and lead a high-performing, inclusive/collaborative team and transition responsibilities to a long-term support structure after implementation. The candidate will also champion change and effectively manage the implementation of new ideas throughout this project; be responsible for communicating with the business to identify emergingor changing needs and evaluate alternative solutions and scope change; develop strategies to stay on track; communicate strategy to the team; assign responsibilities to system managers, review status reports, and address issues as appropriate; and manage the development of the project managers as well as motivate, mentor, empower, and monitor the well-being and success of the entire IT team working on GWAM.
Physical Requirements:
- The candidate must possess a valid driver’s license and be willing and able to travel within NY City and the Bronx to attend meetings and provide support as necessary.
