About the Role
Dataprana is seeking a strategic and results-oriented VP of Business Development to lead sales and partnership efforts focused on digital asset infrastructure—including hosting services, energy sales, and site acquisition.
This role is responsible for building the full business development system from the ground up, owning both strategy and execution. Key responsibilities include developing new client relationships, closing large-scale hosting and infrastructure deals, and establishing long-term strategic partnerships. The ideal candidate will bring proven experience in B2B infrastructure or high-capex solution sales, with a focus on mining, energy, and data centers.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy and Execution
- Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy aligned with company goals
- Design and manage the full sales funnel, from lead generation to contract close
- Build a scalable system to track, measure, and optimize business development activities
- Package offerings (land energy hosting) to maximize revenue potential
Deal-Making and Client Acquisition
- Identify and close high-value hosting deals, targeting 50MW in annual volume
- Develop and maintain relationships with investors, crypto miners, and energy clients
- Lead contract negotiations and manage key client relationships
Partnership Development
- Establish at least 5 strategic partnerships, each contributing 10MW of hosting capacity within the first year
- Collaborate cross-functionally to align infrastructure development with partnership goals
- Represent Dataprana at industry events, forums, and strategic meetings
Leadership and Team Building
- Lead recruitment and development of a high-performing business development team
- Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and results
- Report on pipeline metrics and deal progress to executive leadership
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, enterprise sales, or partnerships
- Proven track record closing large-capex infrastructure, energy, or data center deals
- Experience building and managing a sales or BD function in a high-growth environment
- Strong negotiation and financial modeling skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Deep knowledge of crypto mining, digital asset infrastructure, or energy markets
- Experience working in a startup or early-stage company environment
- Familiarity with data center hosting, colocation, and MW-scale infrastructure sales
- Ability to travel occasionally for site visits, client meetings, and conferences
- Russian language proficiency is a plus
Compensation:
- Base: $150,000 annually
- Bonus: Up to 20% of base salary
