Position Summary
We are looking for a strategic and hands-on Director of Accounting to provide full oversight of our accounting and finance operations. This leadership role is critical to ensuring financial discipline, supporting our acquisition strategy, and driving continued profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic direction and leadership for all accounting and finance activities.
- Develop, implement, and monitor annual budgeting and forecasting processes in collaboration with company leadership.
- Deliver timely and accurate financial reporting, including monthly executive reports to the company owner.
- Oversee annual external audits and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations.
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing accounting and finance team.
- Play a key role in acquisition activities, including:
- Conducting financial due diligence and evaluating the financial health of target companies.
- Supporting integration planning and execution from a financial standpoint.
- Enhance internal controls, systems, and processes to support growth and scalability.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the executive team on all financial matters.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, CPA or MBA strongly preferred.
- 10 years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including leadership roles in professional services or consulting environments. Prior public accounting experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Demonstrated experience managing audits and budgeting processes.
- M&A experience, including financial due diligence and post-acquisition integration, is highly desired.
- Ability to lead, develop, and scale accounting and finance functions.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and people skills.
