Position Overview
DataOne Systems is seeking a high-performing Account Executive with a strong hunter mentality to drive new business growth in the datacom and telecommunications markets. This role requires someone who can lead from day one, build pipeline quickly, and close opportunities through both direct sales and OEM/channel partnerships.
The ideal candidate has experience selling through or alongside partners, while also calling directly on large enterprise customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate new business opportunities and grow revenue within datacom, telecom, and enterprise markets.
- Build and manage relationships with OEMs, channel partners, and strategic accounts.
- Sell directly to large customers while leveraging partner channels to expand market reach.
- Own the full sales cycle from prospecting through close.
- Develop sales plans, maintain pipeline activity, and forecast accurately in Salesforce.
- Partner with internal teams to ensure successful delivery and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- 5 years of B2B sales experience in datacom, telecommunications, cable, or related industries.
- Proven success in a hunter/new business development role.
- Experience working with OEMs, distributors, or channel partners.
- Experience selling into large enterprise or strategic accounts.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Self-starter who can make an immediate impact.
