Tenure: 2 years | Workweek: 70–80 hours | Pay: $20–$35/hr (DOE/skills) | Per Diem: $150/day if 90 miles from site
Role Snapshot- Own field audits and inspections for electrical installations.
- Use Procore on an iPad to capture photo evidence, generate reports, and maintain inspection logs.
- Confirm conformity with NEC, local codes, drawings, and project specifications.
- Coordinate with superintendents, foremen, and electricians to resolve issues immediately.
- Review submittals, shop drawings, and as-builts for accuracy; prepare the site for AHJ pre-inspections.
- Drive site-wide adherence to QA/QC and safety procedures.
- Audit conduit routing, panel installations, terminations, labeling, and grounding/bonding systems.
- Document nonconformances; recommend and verify corrective actions through closure.
- Maintain meticulous QA/QC records to track trend data and demonstrate compliance.
- Conduct pre-inspections ahead of Authority Having Jurisdiction walkthroughs.
- 3 years of electrical QA/QC or related inspection experience (preferred).
- Strong command of NEC, field installation practices, and code compliance.
- Fluent in reading/understanding one-line diagrams, plans, and technical specifications.
- Procore proficiency is required for daily documentation and reporting.
- Exceptional attention to detail and field documentation discipline.
- Strong verbal and written communication; collaborative approach with field teams.
- Mandatory safety training: OSHA 10, NFPA 70E, LOTO, Fall Protection, Motorized Platform, Harassment.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 preferred; NFPA 70E certification and Forklift license are pluses.
- Electrical License or NICET certification is advantageous but not required.
Technology/Tools: iPad; Procore (primary platform).
Compensation & Benefits- Base Pay: $20–$35/hour depending on experience/skills; performance-based raise potential with annual manager reviews.
- Overtime: 1.5x for hours over 40.
- Saturday: 1.5x automatically.
- Sunday: 2x automatically.
- Holidays: 2x pay plus 8 hours of holiday pay (eligibility rules apply).
- Per Diem: $150/day for qualified travelers (90 miles from jobsite).
