Notes: AB2 has an immediate need for a Digital & eCommerce Solution Architect to join and lead a modernization program for B2C and B2B2C ecommerce businesses in the development team. This program and team are dedicated to transforming AB2's ecommerce technical capabilities and building a modern cloud-based platform to drive innovation and scale for the future. As an Architect, you will collaborate with business and IT leaders to align technology initiatives with business strategies. Influence changes to business models, processes, organizations, and investments by providing a cloud and API-first technology perspective and an analytical approach to decision-making. Ensure the delivery of high-quality technology solutions across a portfolio of eCommerce products, systems, and services.
Summary: AB2 is looking for a seasoned Digital and Ecommerce Architect with deep expertise in designing and implementing modern
ecommerce solutions based on composable architectures. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java and Spring
Framework, as well as hands-on experience with Azure Integration Services, Solace AEM and modern cloud-native technologies.
You will lead the creation of scalable, flexible, and API-first ecommerce platforms using MACH principles, composable
commerce platforms (like CommerceTools), and modern frontend frameworks such as Next.js.
- Design and architect modern, modular ecommerce solutions following MACH principles (Microservices, API-first,
- Architect and drive the integration of ecommerce systems with Azure services, including Azure Integration Services
- Design, manage, and evolve microservices-based architectures leveraging Java and Spring Boot, ensuring scalability,
- Lead the implementation of Composable Commerce platforms (e.g., CommerceTools) and build API-first solutions to
- Architect microfrontend-based frontend solutions using modern JavaScript frameworks, particularly Next.js, to deliver
- Design and leverage Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) to deploy and manage containerized applications, ensuring high
- Design and architect event-driven ecommerce systems using Solace to enable real-time data processing and efficient
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including backend and frontend engineers, DevOps, and business
architectural best practices.
- Ensure that the architecture supports high-performance and scalable ecommerce platforms, capable of handling
- Implement best practices in security, ensuring that systems are compliant with industry standards and utilize secure
- 10 years of experience in software architecture, with a focus on ecommerce, Java, and cloud-native solutions.
- Proficiency with CommerceTools, Next.js, and Azure Cloud services.
- Familiarity with modern DevSecOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, using tools such as GitLab, ArgoCD, or
- Extensive experience with Java, Spring Boot, and the Spring Framework to design and build robust, scalable, and
- Proficient in Azure Integration Services, API Management, and Solace, for seamless integration and event-driven
- Expertise in Composable Commerce platforms such as CommerceTools and experience building headless, API-first
- Proven experience designing and implementing microservices-based architectures using Java and cloud-native tools,
- Strong understanding and experience implementing MACH principles (Microservices, API-first, Cloud-native,
- Experience with microfrontend architectures and modern JavaScript frameworks, especially Next.js, to deliver modular
- Hands-on experience with Azure Kubernetes Service for managing containerized applications, automating
- Expertise in building and managing APIs (RESTful and GraphQL), ensuring seamless integration across multiple
- Experience designing and implementing event-driven architectures using Azure Event Hub or similar event streaming
- In-depth knowledge of security protocols, including OAuth, JWT, and SSO, as well as ensuring the security and
- Experience with headless CMS systems and integrating with ecommerce platforms.
- Familiarity with container orchestration and automation tools such as Helm and Kubernetes Operators.
- Experience with data streaming and real-time data processing solutions.
- Knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
Certification:
Certifications in Azure (Azure Solutions Architect, Azure DevOps) and/or Java are a plus.
