Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central applications and extensions using AL.
- Customize Business Central functionality to meet business and departmental requirements.
- Design, develop, test, and deploy new features, reports, pages, workflows, and integrations.
- Create and maintain Business Central extensions following Microsoft development and upgrade best practices.Integrate Business Central with third-party applications and services usingAPIs, web services, OData, and REST/SOAP interfaces.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
- Troubleshoot application issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
- Support data migration, upgrades, system enhancements, and version transitions.
- Develop reports and reporting solutions using Business Central and related Microsoft technologies.
- Collaborate with business analysts, functional consultants, end users, and IT teams.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, documentation, and deployment activities.
- Maintain technical documentation for customizations, integrations, and system architecture.
- Stay current with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central releases, development tools, and best practices.
- 3 years of experience developing withMicrosoft Dynamics 365 Business Central/Navision.
- Strong proficiency inAL programmingand Business Central development. C/AL a Plus
- Experience developing Business Central extensions and custom functionality.
- Understanding of Business Central architecture, tables, pages, reports, codeunits, queries, and APIs.
- Experience with SQL Server and relational database concepts.
- Experience developing or consuming REST APIs and Web Services.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to understand business processes and translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV and upgrading NAV solutions to Business Central.
- Power BI, Power Automate, and Microsoft Power Platform.
- Azure services and Microsoft cloud technologies.
- Git, Azure DevOps, or other source-control and CI/CD tools.
- EDI, e-commerce, warehouse, manufacturing, or financial system integrations.
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central development certification is a plus.
