Position Summary
Datamars is seeking a highly motivated Territory Sales Manager to drive revenue growth and market expansion throughout West Texas and New Mexico. This position is responsible for managing and growing an established territory while developing new business opportunities across the livestock industry.
The ideal candidate will bring strong livestock industry knowledge, exceptional relationship-building skills, and a consultative sales approach. This role focuses on promoting Datamars' comprehensive portfolio of livestock solutions, including:
- RFID identification and traceability solutions
- Electronic identification tags and readers
- Precision livestock management technologies
- Animal health delivery systems
- Livestock scales and weighing systems
- Electric fencing products
- Data management platforms
The Territory Sales Manager will work closely with producers, ranches, dairies, feedlots, distributors, dealers, veterinarians, and industry influencers to deliver solutions that improve operational efficiency, compliance, and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Develop and execute a territory sales strategy that meets or exceeds revenue and profitability objectives.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities while expanding relationships with existing customers.
- Manage complex sales cycles from prospecting through implementation and follow-up.
- Maintain a robust sales pipeline and provide accurate forecasting through Salesforce CRM.
- Develop relationships with key decision-makers, including owners, executives, directors, and operational leaders.
- Promote the full Datamars livestock portfolio to distributors, dealers, producers, ranches, dairies, and feedlots.
Customer Relationship Management
- Serve as a trusted advisor and livestock technology consultant to customers.
- Understand customer operations and recommend solutions that improve traceability, productivity, and animal management.
- Conduct regular territory visits and customer meetings.
- Build long-term partnerships that drive customer satisfaction and retention.
- Deliver product demonstrations, training, and presentations.
Market Leadership
- Monitor industry trends, competitive activity, and regulatory developments affecting livestock identification and traceability.
- Represent Datamars at trade shows, industry conferences, field days, producer meetings, and association events.
- Support channel partners, distributors, and resellers through training and joint sales efforts.
- Provide market intelligence and customer feedback to leadership, marketing, and product development teams.
Operational Excellence
- Maintain detailed customer records and sales activities within Salesforce.
- Submit timely reports, forecasts, and territory updates.
- Collaborate with Customer Service to ensure accurate and efficient order fulfillment.
- Maintain field equipment used by customers, including Temple Tag Machines (TTM) and Pulse Needleless Injection Systems.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of successful sales experience.
- Demonstrated track record of achieving sales goals and quota attainment.
- Experience developing new business and growing existing accounts.
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Willingness to travel extensively throughout the territory.
Preferred
- Experience in livestock production, animal health, agricultural technology, or related industries.
- Understanding of beef and dairy production systems.
- Experience selling RFID, traceability, precision agriculture, animal health, or technology-based solutions.
- Experience selling to executive-level decision-makers including owners, directors, and senior leadership.
- Proficiency with Salesforce CRM and Microsoft Office Suite.

Working Conditions
- Remote, home-office-based position located within the assigned territory.
- Standard business hours are Monday through Friday; flexibility for evenings and weekends as business needs require.
- Frequent travel throughout West Texas and New Mexico, with occasional travel outside the territory.
Physical Requirements
- Regularly required to communicate effectively in person, by phone, and through virtual meetings.
- Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, reach, and use hands for operational tasks.
- Occasionally lift and move items up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to work in office, livestock production, and outdoor environments.

Salary : $90,000 - $115,000
