Overview
We are looking for a hands-on Project Manager with solid experience managing data or IT projects and proficiency in developing business requirements documentation, process flows, status reports, and presentations The project involves migrating our Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) and ETL workflows from Informatica to the Databricks Lakehouse Platform.
He / She will also act as liaison between business stakeholders, such as management, customers or end users, and the software development or information technology team. The PM will coordinate delivery across multiple teams, manage scope and risks, and ensure successful execution of this data migration initiative.
Key Responsibilities

- Track milestones, risks, issues, and dependencies; drive timely resolution and escalation.
- Manage project scope, budget, and change control.
- Coordinate work between Data Engineering, Architecture, QA, and Infrastructure teams.
- Lead regular status meetings and provide progress updates to stakeholders and leadership.
- Ensure all project documentation, deliverables, and sign-offs follow internal PMO or governance standards.
- Analyzing the business processes in an organization or a company for inefficiencies and inadequacies.
- Making recommendations and approvals for solutions or improvements that can be achieved and attained through new technology or alternative uses of existing technology.
- Acting as liaison between business stakeholders, such as management, customers or end users, and the software development or information technology team.
- Experience creating development documentation (Business Requirements documents, Functional Specs, workflow diagrams)
Minimum Qualifications
- 5–8 years of experience managing IT or data-related projects.
- Strong understanding of project management life cycle (SDLC) — initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
- Proven experience in planning, scheduling, risk/issue/change management, and reporting.
- Experience managing cross-functional technical teams (data engineering, QA, architecture, cloud).
- Proficiency with project management tools (Jira, Confluence, MS Project, Smartsheet).
- Proficient in developing business requirements documentation, process flows, status reports, and presentations.
- Proficient in architectural diagrams using UML, MS Visio or similar tools.
- Excellent communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work with onshore/offshore teams and manage multiple workstreams concurrently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with data warehousing and ETL concepts (staging, EDW, BI, SCDs).
- Understanding of Informatica PowerCenter and/or Databricks Lakehouse environments (no hands-on development required).
- Experience managing data migration or cloud modernization projects.
- Project management certification (PMP, CSM, or equivalent) preferred.
- Experience in the hospitality or travel industry is a plus.
