Title: Mainframe Systems Programmer (DB2 / IMS)
Location: Jersey City, NJ/ Plano TX/ Columbus OH 100% Onsite)
Duration: Long Term Contract
Job Description:
- Mainframe Sys programming experience in a mainframe z/OS operating system supporting DB2 subsystems in USS (Unix System Services)
- Continuous Delivery Installation and Migration, DB2 Buffer Pool Tuning, DB2 Dump Analysis, DB2-related tools.
- DB2 and/or IMS performance tuning involving buffer pools, storage groups, coupling facility structures, SQL, REORGs, ZPARMs and image copies
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with clear communication
- Ability to collaborate with different roles to achieve common goals
- Experience on IBM Replication tools: IMS/IMS Replication, IMS KAFKA Replication QREP /CDC, IBM Program Product installation experience – SMP/e (Software Management Program/ extended)
- Understanding or have experience with agile and lean philosophies
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with clear communication
- Ability to collaborate with different roles to achieve common goals
