What are the responsibilities and job description for the Experienced Service Technician position at DataClover?
- Diagnose and repair electrical and electronic components in vehicles, including wiring, lighting, sensors and control modules.
- Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership
- Test drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems
- Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so customers can be informed if any additional service is needed
- Provide estimates of time needed for additional repairs
- Ensure all work is completed to high-quality standards and follows manufacturer's warranty specifications
- Maintain detailed records of all repairs, parts used and services performed
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
- Stay up to date with the latest automotive technology and industry trends through training and professional development opportunities.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 3 years of experience as a ASE or Volkswagen technician
- Knowledge in all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance
- Fast, eager learner and team player
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Computer skills and willingness to learn new problems
- Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
- Clean driving record & valid driver’s license
