Datacenter People are currently supporting a global specialist in liquid leak detection solutions in the search for a Site Director to lead their manufacturing operation in West Palm Beach, Florida.
This is a senior leadership position with full responsibility for plant operations, manufacturing performance, safety, quality, workforce development and continuous improvement.
The successful candidate will take ownership of a specialist manufacturing facility and play a key role in driving operational excellence, efficiency and long-term growth.
The Opportunity
You will lead all aspects of site operations, overseeing production, engineering, maintenance, quality, supply chain and environmental compliance.
This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on plant performance while shaping the future direction of a growing manufacturing operation focused on cable production and plastics extrusion processes.
What the Job Involves…
- Lead day-to-day manufacturing operations across the facility
- Drive production output, quality, delivery and cost performance
- Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with business objectives
- Monitor and improve key manufacturing KPIs including OEE, downtime, throughput and scrap rates
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives across the operation
- Oversee maintenance, engineering and process optimization activities
- Manage health, safety and environmental compliance programs
- Support automation, digital manufacturing and capacity expansion projects
- Drive quality improvement and root-cause analysis activities
- Manage manufacturing costs, inventory performance and operational budgets
- Develop and mentor teams while promoting a culture of accountability and engagement
- Collaborate with supply chain, procurement and logistics teams to ensure customer delivery performance
We're Looking for Someone Who...
- Experience leading manufacturing operations within an industrial production environment
- Strong operational leadership and people management capability
- Experience with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma or TPM
- Knowledge of manufacturing KPIs and operational performance management
- Experience driving safety, quality and productivity initiatives
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of manufacturing cost control
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive organisational change
Experience within cable manufacturing, wire & cable, plastics extrusion, polymers, industrial manufacturing or related process industries would be particularly advantageous.
