Campus Director - Colocation will be responsible for efficient operations and all other aspects of several data centers within a campus.


Responsibilities

· Required to be onsite during core business hours

· Management of multiple Data Center Managers (DCMs) or Lead Data Center Technicians (DCTs) with responsibilities for the operations and maintenance of facilities, installations and client demands in multiple Data Centers

· Tracking of key metrics and KPI’s of Operations teams tasks and responses

· Assurance that all key facility infrastructure and security monitoring systems are operational

· Escalation of any system, process or administrative issues across various/all departments within the organization

· Track Preventative Maintenance schedules ensuring equipment remains in proper working condition and Databank meets its commitments to maintain our various Data Center certifications/compliances (SOC, SSAE-18 etc.)

· Ensure Policies and Procedures are met and consistent amongst all DCMs as well as all sites

· Ensure safety rules and procedures are followed. Ensure that Company property is in safe and operational condition to achieve the best working conditions possible for all employees

· Ensure security rules and procedures are followed

· Plan and implement a continual work schedule to maintain staffing levels of data centers

· Oversee contractor’s performance and skills are in line with producing the desired outcome. To ensure that all DCMs inspect outside contractor/ vendors work upon completion and ensures that standards of workmanship and safety are maintained

· Track and resolve all ‘exceptions’ found during PM activities. And report back to the respective departmental groups of work being completed and forward all paperwork to the appropriate individuals for record keeping

· Build and maintain a strong relationship with customers/clients

· Provide focus on plans to improve production efficiency and/or achieve cost reduction on OpEx PUE, End of Life equipment, system enhancements

· Manages/evaluates PUE at the facility via the BMS system to ensure facility is operating efficiently

· Ensures training of all DCTs to understand the functionality of the BMS system so they can react accordingly to any unexpected issue at the site

· Handles departmental resource planning and budgeting

· Metrics Management

· Overtime management

· Task/productivity trending

· PM completions

· Well versed in best practice DC Operations procedures

· Ability to identify, construct and deploy new policy & procedures

· Process development skills

· To have the experience to be plan and execute on DC operational technical training

· Solid background in Incident Response Procedures

· Effective communicator to keep several sites and staffs working and following standard policy & procedures

· Confident decision maker and motivator that engender confidence with a technical DC operations staff

· Budget and planning experience

· Confident presenter to client base

· Project completions

· Project closures

· Quality Assurance tracking


Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferred or equivalent experience

· Experience leading managers

· Fantastic written and verbal communication

· Strong understanding of all data center components including HVAC, UPS, servers, etc.

· Data Center background, preferred
