Title: Flatbed Die-Cutting Equipment Operator
2nd Shift - 3:30pm-midnight(training will take place on 1st shift) This position requires the employee to work on-site in O'Fallon, MO.
Job purpose: Set up and operate flatbed die-cutting presses, slitter/rewinders as well as other testing, inspection, and finishing equipment to convert material into finished product in accordance with specifications, procedures, and practices. A candidate in this position will be expected to learn, cross train and operate various pieces of equipment. This individual must be able to communicate well with their co-workers and work in an environment where everyone is highly reliant on each other.

Key responsibilities:
- Operate equipment and handle material and tooling in compliance with established safety procedures while converting materials in a timely and effective fashion
- Perform necessary in-process quality checks to ensure output is consistent from start to finish
- Study work instructions and specifications to determine correct method of set up and process control for material conversion
- Alert management of equipment problems that affect cost, production schedules and/or quality
- Measure product output during the converting process to insure conformance to specification and to adjust/control the process accordingly
- Complete processing of manufacturing order and record material usage and labor within company’s enterprise resource system
- Conduct troubleshooting and preventative/routine equipment maintenance
- Ability to perform routine and demanding operations with minimal supervision
- Required lifting of tools and materials for press operation. Frequent lifting of 10-50lbs and occasionally up to 100lbs
- Ability to do preventive maintenance tasks on press
- 2-3 years of work experience in similar job type
- Must be able to perform well under deadline constraints and meet quality standards
- Willingness to work overtime if needed
- Experience of working within ISO or documented quality system
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook (email)
- Ability to communicate effectively
