Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Analytics professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in business analytics with a particular emphasis on visualizing data effectively through charts, graphs, and dashboards. The candidate should have a keen understanding of when to use the appropriate chart type, proficiency in dashboard layout, and a solid grasp of data visualization principles and best practices. They will lead projects, collaborate with technical teams to develop innovative solutions, and interact with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure successful project delivery. This leadership role involves hands-on creation and implementation of visualizations, as well as guiding junior team members to deliver solutions.
Responsibilities
- Analyze data sets to identify key insights and trends.
- Visualize data in leading industry tools such as Tableau & Power BI to create appropriate charts, graphs, and dashboards.
- Ensure data visualizations are clear, concise, and effectively communicate insights.
- Partner and collaborate with technical teams to develop innovative solutions.
- Work closely with client key stakeholders to gather requirements and understand user needs.
- Lead projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
- Present findings and insights to stakeholders in a clear and understandable manner.
- Develop wireframes and prototypes for dashboards to outline layout and functionality.
- Create a variety of dashboard templates tailored to diverse use cases, offering a range of layout options to accommodate different data visualization needs.
- Incorporate basic principles of UX/UI and human-centered design into data visualization projects.
- Provide hands-on creation and implementation of data visualizations.
- Lead and mentor junior team members to deliver solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Data Visualization, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in data analysis, business analytics, and data visualization.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of data visualization principles, best practices, and data storytelling.
- Proven experience in leading projects and delivering successful outcomes.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present findings and insights clearly to stakeholders.
- Strong collaboration skills, with experience working closely with technical teams and stakeholders to gather requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to create clear, concise, and impactful data visualizations.
- Proficiency in prototyping design tool such as Canva, Figma, Sketch, or similar products.
- Basic understanding of UX/UI principles and human-centered design in the context of data visualization.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to develop innovative solutions.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work independently.
- Detail-oriented with a passion for creating visually appealing and informative data visualizations.
