AV Technician
Our client is seeking an AV Technician to support their audiovisual installation, testing, programming, and maintenance. The AV Technician will be responsible for ensuring the quality, stability, and performance of the installed AV System as well as be responsible for the Mitel VoIP system. The AV Technician will also be responsible for Crestron, Epiphan, Biamp, Tesira, Sagevue, microphones, speakers, and cameras.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Install, test, evaluate, and document AV System, including audio, video, lighting, programming, and network components.
- Provide coverage for AV meeting/event requests.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software and hardware issues related to AV system.
- Collaborate with the IT team to ensure systems meet specifications
- Generate documentation and reports on system configurations and test results
- Provide technical support and mentoring to IT Helpdesk technicians as needed.
- Interact with users professionally, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Associate s degree in Information Technology, computer science or related field required.
- One of the following certifications:
- AVIXA CTS
- Crestron Certified Programmer (CCP)
- BIAMP Tesira Certification
- Ability to obtain additional certifications within six months of starting the position.
- 2 years of experience in audiovisual (AV) installation and maintenance
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows and productivity tools (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Prior experience with AV equipment from manufacturers such as Biamp, Shure, Crestron, Extron, and Epiphan.
- Ability to interpret technical documentation
- Knowledge of AV control systems: Crestron
- Ability to establish a relationship with our VoIP vendor and work with them to ensure the system is operational, documented, and updated.
- Basic understanding of data networking
- Knowledge of help desk operations, ticketing systems, and end-user training methodologies.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Teams and Zoom videoconferencing, Adobe editing software (Premiere or similar), Livestream technologies, YouTube/Vimeo or other video hosting platforms
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently or with a team
- Must be able to work some evenings, weekends and special events as needed.
- Mitel MiCollab VoIP experience is a bonus not required. If not Mitel any VoIP experience
