SUMMARY
The Project Supervisor manages and oversees the day-to-day field operations of security systems installation projects. This role is critical in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards. Requires a strong technical background in low-voltage/security systems, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Supervise installation crews on-site for security systems such as CCTV, access control, intrusion alarms, intercoms, and network cabling.
- Coordinate project timelines and schedules to meet deadlines and client expectations.
- Act as the primary on-site point of contact for clients, contractors, and vendors.
- Ensure all installations comply with technical specs, local codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
- Troubleshoot installation issues and provide technical support to field technicians.
- Track project progress, maintain documentation, and report status updates to the Project Manager or General Manager.
- Manage inventory of tools, equipment, and materials needed for assigned projects.
- Train and mentor junior technicians to uphold safety and performance standards.
- Lead safety meetings for construction jobs.
- Vehicle maintenance and stocking.
- Weekend on-call rotation.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong knowledge of security system components and integration, including IP cameras, DVR/NVRs, access control panels, intrusion systems, and related infrastructure.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and best practices.
- Comfortable using mobile apps and digital tools for time tracking and reporting.
- Experience with brands like Axis, Honeywell, Genetec, or similar preferred.
- Basic knowledge of networking (IP addressing, PoE, routers/switches) preferred.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 3 years of experience in security systems installation, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead tech role.
- OSHA 30 Certification required.
- Technical certifications (e.g., ESA, manufacturer training) strongly preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Requires regular on-site presence at active construction and installation locations. Must be capable of climbing ladders, lifting equipment, and working in various environmental conditions. Travel to multiple job sites required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Primarily field-based at customer and construction sites. Requires flexibility for weekend on-call rotation. Exposure to construction environments, outdoor conditions, and active work zones.
Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
