Sales Intern - Chicago (Summer 2026)

As a FedEx Intern, you will be working on projects gaining you valuable, real-world experience in a professional environment as it relates to your field of study.

Essential Functions

• Present and deliver long-term solutions that will have significant impacts to the business and/or customer experience.

• Participates in various networking and/or community service events.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Summary

• As a FedEx Intern, you will be working with FedEx Sales personnel, gaining valuable, real-world experience in a professional environment as it relates to International Sales and import/export supply chain needs.

• You will gain a solid foundation in sales and contact customers and prospects within a defined geographic territory.

• Network across the various Departments at FedEx to learn more about career paths available.

• Understand strategic business initiatives and sales targets by leveraging face-to-face customer interactions to find opportunities, onboard business and grow and maintain customer relationships.

• Participate in external activities such as sporting events, customer entertainments and FedEx sanctioned events.

Minimum Education

Currently enrolled student or recent college graduate (within 6 months of graduation) at a college/university obtaining a 3.0 GPA or higher.

Minimum Experience

No experience required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to work productively and proactively, both independently or as a part of a team.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

Demonstrates interpersonal communication skills.

Time management, organizational and multi-tasking skills necessary to work in a fast-paced environment, handling various tasks and changing priorities, while maintaining a high attention to detail and accuracy to achieve daily assignments and goals.

Verbal and written communication skills necessary to communicate with across business units and to all levels of management.

Ability to analyze, review, and make recommendations.

Preferred Qualifications: Immigration sponsorship is not available for intern roles. Sponsorship may be available for full-time, exempt positions, depending on the specific role and federal regulations. Note, sponsorship is never guaranteed. This is a hybrid/on-site role requiring face-to-face activity as well as digital communication (telephone, email, zoom, etc.) and remote techniques. Valid Driver's License and ability to drive is suggested. Students with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain and related majors are encouraged to apply.

Pay Transparency:

Pay: Salary is $25/hour for undergraduates and $30/hour for graduates. A $2,000 stipend is available for those relocating over 50 miles for an on-site or hybrid internship experience.
