Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and dependable Inventory Clerk to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing inventory levels, processing Purchase Orders (PO), ordering materials, and ensuring stock accuracy. The Inventory Clerk will also use basic Excel functions to track inventory and materials. The ideal candidate is organized, reliable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management:
- Monitor and maintain appropriate inventory levels to prevent stock shortages.
- Perform regular physical inventory counts and ensure accurate records.
- Alert management when stock is running low and help plan reorders.
- Ordering & Purchasing:
- Process and review Purchase Orders (POs) to ensure materials are ordered on time.
- Place orders with suppliers to maintain inventory levels.
- Communicate with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and resolve any discrepancies.
- Receiving & Inspections:
- Receive incoming shipments and check against POs for accuracy.
- Inspect materials for quality and report any issues to suppliers or management.
- Stock Organization:
- Ensure proper organization and storage of materials for easy access and identification.
- Maintain accurate labeling and categorization of inventory.
- Reporting:
- Use basic Excel skills (data entry, basic formulas) to update and track inventory levels.
- Assist in generating simple reports on stock levels and orders as needed.
- Compliance & Safety:
- Adhere to company safety policies and best practices for handling materials.
- Maintain a clean and organized inventory area.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Previous experience in inventory management or a related field is a plus.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., data entry, simple formulas, and basic reporting).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with suppliers and team members.
- QuickBooks Knowledge is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with inventory management software or related systems.
- Basic understanding of purchasing processes and supply chain operations.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry materials up to [insert weight requirement].
- Ability to stand, bend, and stoop for extended periods when performing inventory counts and receiving tasks.
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
