What are the responsibilities and job description for the Data Analyst position at Data Driven Enterprises?
Description
Data Driven Enterprises (DDE) is a research, evaluation, and technical assistance organization that partners with schools, districts, and state departments of education to improve educational outcomes. We provide data analytics, program evaluation, and professional development that help educators make informed decisions and continuously improve their programs and services.
Our mission is to deliver customized, rigorous, and meaningful research and evaluation services that answer our clients' most important questions and lead to practical, actionable solutions.
At DDE, we believe data should do more than describe what happened—it should help shape what happens next. We're researchers, analysts, problem-solvers, and innovators who are passionate about helping educators improve outcomes for students. Our guiding philosophy is simple: If you can measure it, you can improve it.
About the Job
We are looking for a data analyst who enjoys turning complex questions into meaningful answers. At DDE, our clients do not come to us asking for a regression or a t-test. They come to us with questions about programs, policies, and student outcomes. Your job is to determine the best analytical approach, conduct rigorous analyses, and communicate findings that help clients make informed decisions.
Our clients ask questions such as:
· Did this new school program improve student outcomes?
· Which factors best predict whether students will graduate?
· Are certain groups of students disproportionately suspended or identified for special education?
Your role is to determine the best analytical approach, conduct rigorous analyses, and translate the results into clear, actionable findings.
Success in this role requires both strong technical skills and excellent communication skills. You should be comfortable explaining statistical findings to people who are not statisticians and helping clients understand what the data mean—and just as importantly, what they do not mean.
We're looking for someone who is naturally curious, is a systems thinker, and pays close attention to detail. Data quality is our highest priority, so accuracy and careful verification are essential. You should enjoy asking "why" and uncovering insights that help improve programs and outcomes.
This position also requires someone who can use AI responsibly to improve workflows, increase efficiency, and enhance the quality of our work.
