Maintenance Supervisor/Technician

Job Brief:

Lead our team of Technicians as a Maintenance Supervisor on 3rd Shift!

Summary:

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading a team of technicians in maintaining and repairing machinery and mechanical equipment used to bake and package high-quality bread and rolls. This position upholds the bakery’s priorities of Personal Safety and Food Safety while fostering an environment based on integrity, respect, accountability, and proactive thinking.

• · Participate in onboarding and training new hires
• · Supervise and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities
• · Ensure completion of work orders and proper communication with cross-functional teams
• · Maintain safety and cleanliness in maintenance areas (e.g., shops, parts rooms)
• · Oversee and enforce parts inventory and procurement processes
• · Collaborate with Maintenance Trainers on service training and equipment onboarding
• · Assist with developing, updating, and verifying standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• · Manage small-scale industrial projects including planning, scheduling, communication, and execution
• · Maintain proficiency in mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems
• · When required, perform hands-on maintenance tasks, including:
• · Troubleshooting, repairing, and overhauling industrial equipment
• · Performing inspections, lubrication, and rebuilds
• · Electrical troubleshooting and system resets
• · Welding, soldering, brazing, and plumbing
• · Operating maintenance tools (drill press, grinders, band saw, etc.)
• · Resolve mechanical/production issues in collaboration with other departments
• · Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities related to safety, quality, and productivity
• · Continue personal development in leadership, communication, and technical areas
• · Adhere to and enforce all safety, food safety, and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) standards
• · Report safety, food safety, or quality issues to appropriate personnel

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• · Directly supervise maintenance staff
• · Plan and assign work schedules
• · Conduct training and performance evaluations
• · Address employee complaints and resolve conflicts
• · Coach and discipline as needed
• · Lead the hiring process for team vacancies

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $67,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
