Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment (engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, production machines)
- Perform preventative maintenance and adjustments
- Operate and maintain drill press, grinder, handsaw, and other metalworking tools
- Repair electrical and electronic equipment, pumps, fans, valves, and motors
- Weld stainless steel and aluminum components
- Lubricate, clean, and maintain tools and equipment
- Initiate purchase orders for parts and machines
- Follow safety, food safety, quality, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area
- Communicate with supervisors regarding tasks, completion, and deviations
- Interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and inspection manuals
- Perform minor plumbing as needed
Supervisory Responsibilities
- This position has no supervisory responsibilities
Qualifications
Education / Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3–5 years of industrial maintenance experience
Skills:
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos
- Write simple correspondence and present information effectively
- Basic math skills: add, subtract, multiply, divide; compute rate, ratio, percent; interpret bar graphs
- Mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills
Physical Demands:
- Walk, stand, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, lift/move up to 50 lbs
- Use hands and arms regularly; reach, grasp, handle objects
- Perform tasks at varying heights and in varying conditions
Working Environment:
- Exposure to wet/humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles
- Occasionally exposed to high places, chemicals, outside weather, electrical risk, vibration
- Noise level is usually loud; temperature may vary depending on production area
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $24.30 - $33.00 per hour
