Summary:
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading a team of technicians in maintaining and repairing machinery and mechanical equipment used to bake and package high-quality bread and rolls. - Coach and develop team members through performance reviews, training, and regular feedback
- Participate in onboarding and training new hires
- Supervise and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities
- Ensure completion of work orders and proper communication with cross-functional teams
- Maintain safety and cleanliness in maintenance areas (e.g., shops, parts rooms)
- Oversee and enforce parts inventory and procurement processes
- Collaborate with Maintenance Trainers on service training and equipment onboarding
- Assist with developing, updating, and verifying standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Manage small-scale industrial projects including planning, scheduling, communication, and execution
- Maintain proficiency in mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems
- When required, perform hands-on maintenance tasks, including:
- Troubleshooting, repairing, and overhauling industrial equipment
- Performing inspections, lubrication, and rebuilds
- Electrical troubleshooting and system resets
- Welding, soldering, brazing, and plumbing
- Operating maintenance tools (drill press, grinders, band saw, etc.)
- Resolve mechanical/production issues in collaboration with other departments
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities related to safety, quality, and productivity
- Continue personal development in leadership, communication, and technical areas
- Adhere to and enforce all safety, food safety, and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) standards
- Report safety, food safety, or quality issues to appropriate personnel
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Directly supervise maintenance staff
- Plan and assign work schedules
- Conduct training and performance evaluations
- Address employee complaints and resolve conflicts
- Coach and discipline as needed
- Lead the hiring process for team vacancies
Qualifications:

Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED (required)
- 2 years of supervisory experience (preferred)
- 4 years of relevant industrial maintenance experience
- Industrial maintenance background strongly preferred
Other Skills and Abilities:
- Operates forklift, scissor lift, boom lift, and mobile carts
- Comfortable working at heights
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Works well independently and within a team
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems)
- Effective email and written communication skills
Additional Knowledge and Abilities:
- Working knowledge of building codes and electrical wiring
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
- Understanding of materials, tools, and industrial systems
- Familiarity with machine operation, maintenance, and safety protocols
Other Requirements:
- Must be able to travel occasionally (up to 5% annually) with notice
