Position: Maintenance Technician
Location: Perry Hall, MD
Pay: $25 to $30/hour
Experience:
- 5 years of apartment maintenance experience and on-call rotation
- Experience working in or assisting in managing an apartment community
Education:
- High school diploma or GED required
- CFC Certification required
Type: Full-time; Contract
Schedule: Day Shift, 7:30am to 4:00pm
We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to join a growing and dynamic team!
Job Description:
- Complete daily work orders and in-unit repairs (HVAC, appliances, electrical, plumbing)
- Prepare and turn over vacant units for new residents
- Perform snow removal as needed
- Participate in an 8-week rotating on-call schedule (after hours, weekends, holidays)
- Assist with training staff
- Act as supervisor in the absence of the Maintenance Supervisor
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment
Position Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Knowledge of Fair Housing laws
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Reliable transportation required
- Ability to read/write English and perform intermediate math
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs and perform physical tasks (climbing, kneeling, crawling, etc.)
