What are the responsibilities and job description for the Experienced Automotive Technician position at Dasher's Auto?
Job Summary
We are looking to hire technicians with more than 2 years of experience and knowledge of gas and diesel engines, electrical and mechanical diagnostics, and more than just general knowledge of automobiles. The right candidates will have experience in swapping an engine or transmission, knowledge of changing an alternator, or replacing components of an air conditioning system. We need someone that can work alone on small or big jobs, or that can assist an apprentice when help is needed. Above all, we are looking for someone that will work hard to provide quality service but maintain safety measures, as well. Pay will be discussed in the interview process, but please include your salary expectations in your resume.
Qualifications
- Proven dealership or service technician experience with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and repair.
- Extensive knowledge of vehicle systems including powertrain, transmissions, vehicle electrical systems, suspension systems, and ADAS technology.
- Proficiency in interpreting automotive wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Hands-on experience with automotive diagnostic tools and software for accurate troubleshooting.
- Mechanical knowledge complemented by the ability to use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment confidently.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Must have your own tools necessary for working in the automotive industry.
Pay: $20.00 - $200.00 per day
