We are seeking a dedicated, energetic, and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our vibrant dental team. In this important role, you will provide exceptional chairside support to our pediatric patients while helping ensure their comfort, safety, and positive experience throughout each visit.

Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during various pediatric dental procedures, including exams, cleanings, restorations, and orthodontic treatments, utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques for efficiency.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), including digital imaging and 3D scans, while adhering to strict infection control protocols.
- Record detailed medical and dental histories, vital signs, and medical documentation in electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Educate young patients and their guardians on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions in a friendly manner.
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
- Assist with infection control procedures, aseptic techniques, and maintaining a sterile environment in accordance with OSHA standards.
Skills
- Proficiency in dental assisting procedures with experience in pediatric dentistry preferred but not required.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medical coding relevant to pediatrics.
- Ability to operate dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners safely and effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to interact confidently with children, parents, and team members.
- Knowledge of infection control practices and aseptic techniques essential for maintaining a safe clinical environment.
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
