Duties

• Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding service to enhance their shopping experience
• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process retail sales transactions, returns, and exchanges
• Conduct product demonstrations to educate customers about features and benefits, encouraging purchases
• Assist with merchandising efforts by organizing displays and stocking shelves to maintain an attractive store environment
• Manage stock levels by stocking shelves and conducting inventory checks to ensure product availability
• Handle cash, credit card transactions, and cash handling procedures with precision and integrity
• Promote upselling opportunities by recommending complementary products and special offers to customers
• Maintain excellent phone etiquette when assisting customers via phone or online inquiries

Skills

• Proven experience with POS systems and cash handling procedures in a retail setting
• Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership in team environments
• Ability to perform retail math accurately for transactions, discounts, and inventory counts
• Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are highly valued for serving diverse customers
• Knowledge of grocery store operations or retail sales is beneficial for understanding store workflows
• Skilled in customer service with a friendly, approachable demeanor
• Capable of conducting product demos confidently to engage customers effectively
• Familiarity with merchandising, stocking techniques, and retail sales strategies
• Excellent phone etiquette for professional customer interactions over the phone or online
