Role Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated scientist with bioanalytical LC/MS expertise to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will leverage their deep background in bioanalytical development to design cutting edge assays that integrate with Dash’s software and robotics platform. The successful candidate will drive projects from concept through completion, mentor junior staff, ensure adherence to regulatory standards, and deliver exceptional results in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Method Development & Lab Operations: Design, develop, and implement quantitative LC/MS bioanalytical assays for various therapeutic modalities including small molecules, oligonucleotides, and proteins.
  • Workflow Optimization: Select appropriate workflows for sample preparation, including protein precipitation (PPT), LLE, SPE, immuno-capture and drive their development on high-throughput automated platforms.
  • Experimental Design: Drive experimental design and validation efforts for LC/MS assays to enhance sensitivity, specificity, throughput, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Hands-on Instrumentation: Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot SCIEX QqQ and Thermo Orbitrap instrumentation. Evaluate and implement new analytical equipment, software, and instrumentation to further enhance lab capabilities and throughput.
  • Data Analysis & Documentation: Utilize statistical and analytical tools to process and interpret complex LC/MS datasets. Author high-quality study reports, SOPs, analytical methods. Clearly communicate findings to internal teams and external clients, converting complex data into actionable insights that shape project strategies and regulatory submissions.
  • Project Leadership: Manage multiple LC/MS-centric projects simultaneously, maintaining strict timelines, quality compliance, and alignment with client and regulatory requirements. Mentor and train junior scientists and technicians, providing hands-on guidance in assay setup, method transfer, data interpretation, and adherence to SOPs.
  • Client Collaboration: Partner closely with clients to define LC/MS assay requirements, experimental designs, timelines, and deliverables. Provide timely updates, data-driven reports, and presentations that meet or exceed client expectations.
Qualifications:
  • Education & Experience: Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field with 1-2 years of industry or post-doctoral experience, or M.S. with 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Technical Expertise: Demonstrated expertise in LC/MS method development, validation, and troubleshooting.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Experience developing and validating assays in a GxP environment preferred.
  • Project Management: Strong project management skills with the ability to lead and perform in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities, with acute attention to detail.
