Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Host to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. The ideal candidate will excel in guest relations, possess strong communication skills, and have experience in food service or hospitality settings. As the first point of contact, the Host will be responsible for managing reservations, greeting guests, and ensuring an exceptional dining or guest experience.

Duties

• Welcome guests warmly and manage their seating arrangements efficiently
• Answer phone calls with proper phone etiquette and handle reservation inquiries
• Maintain a clean and organized host stand and waiting area
• Use POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to manage reservations and seating assignments
• Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow
• Assist guests with special requests and provide information about menu items or hotel amenities
• Manage waitlists during busy periods and communicate wait times effectively
• Support guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and professionally
• Uphold cleanliness and safety standards in all guest interaction areas

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Host/Host or in food service/hospitality is preferred
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
• Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and guest relations
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
• Experience in restaurant or hotel environments is advantageous
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
• Professional appearance and positive attitude
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, or holidays if needed
