The Department of Emergency Medicine at Dartmouth Health is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to join our team in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. In this dynamic setting, you will evaluate, diagnose, and manage a broad range of acute conditions for both adult and pediatric patients, including those in the Clinical Decision Unit (CDU) guided by evidence-based protocols.
You will be joining a highly functioning, collaborative Emergency Medicine team that values collegiality, mutual respect, and a shared commitment to exceptional patient care. Our providers work closely together across disciplines in a supportive environment that encourages open communication, teamwork, and continuous learning. What This Position Offers:
- Independently evaluate, diagnose, and manage a wide variety of acute conditions through thoughtful use of diagnostic testing and clinical assessment
- Collaborate with specialists across disciplines to ensure timely, coordinated, and comprehensive patient care
- Perform procedures within scope of practice, supporting efficient and high-quality emergency care delivery
- Initiate and manage medication therapies in partnership with nursing staff to optimize patient outcomes
- Lead and support safe, appropriate patient disposition planning, including discharge and admission decisions Deliver care across a range of ED settings—including Fast Track, Clinical Decision Unit (CDU), and the main Emergency Department—providing a varied, fast-paced, and highly engaging clinical experience

Required Licensure/Certifications
- Eligible for RN licensure in the State of NH (APRNs only) - Eligible for APRN or PA licensure in the State of NH and VT - Eligible for Federal DEA Registration - BLS certification - ACLS, PALS, and/or NRP as appropriate - Minimum of one year of direct experience in an acute, urgent care, or emergency care setting is highly preferred
