Responsibilities
- Manages the operational, administrative, and personnel responsibilities in providing services in a 24/7 work environment by overseeing day-to-day operations.
- Contributes to the development of annual budget; monitor patient revenues, clinical, and operational expenses and staff productivity. Reports variance to Director and takes appropriate actions to meet or exceed budget targets.
- Monitors key performance indicators and creates an action plan to improve results.
- Oversees case management process; strategizes to improve efficiency and eliminates barriers that impact patient and family centered care. Optimizes use of resources to meet patient needs.
- Facilitates and monitor activities related to the delivery of patient care, assuring evidence-based practice and minimum clinical practice standards are achieved in the clinical area.
- Administers clinical care to patients, as needed, to maintain clinical skills, to assess particular patient requirements or as support to patient care staff.
- Oversees, facilitates, and monitors all aspects of the hospice personnel; including orientation of new staff, development and education of clinicians, and performance management
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in professional clinical discipline (RN or MSW) from an accredited college or university, Master’s degree desired. Certification in specialty preferred.
- Two (2) year of experience in a direct supervisory role required.
- Must have excellent interpersonal, communication and analytical skills.
- Software skills: Electronic medical record, Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.
