The Point of Care department performs a variety of diagnostic laboratory tests in the Clinical Laboratory to obtain data for diagnosing and treating disease. They use technical knowledge and skills to oversee laboratory functions, including quality control, maintenance, training, and other required tasks.
This Laboratory Assistant position will support the Point of Care Laboratory team in maintaining compliance, testing, and training programs at DHMC. This position will assist in performing sample preparation, organization, data collection, sample storage, and various research projects/assay validations.
This is a 40-hour-per-week day shift position.
We are offering a $2500 sign-on/retention bonus for this position. *The bonus is available for external hires only, and certain conditions apply.

- Strong Computer skill sets
- Able to complete assignment with minimal direction and adapt to rapidly changing workflows
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, technicians, management, and subject matter experts.
- High school graduate, college classes preferred
- 1-2 years Lab or related experience
