Job Summary
Provide take offs and product dimension information for inside sales to produce
quotes and ship lists. Stipulate nonstock special-order products where needed. Take off and estimate building materials from architectural plans and specifications using specialized software and manual verification. Products to include, but not limited to, framing lumber, engineered wood as needed, wood sheathings, builder’s hardware necessary to structural plans, siding, exterior finishes, roofing products. Maintain customer relationships with scope reviews as needed. Develop strong communication, both interpersonal and electronic, with management, customers, sales staff, and others in the department. Help to resolve jobsite issues involving material lists.
Experience: 2-4 years of residential framing experience and ability to read plans is preferred. Manual framing experience is acceptable, we are willing to train the right person. Average computer skills (Microsoft word, outlook and excel)
Special skills required: Excellent work ethic. Good interpersonal and customer relations skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Physical demands include the ability to lift 25lbs. on a consistent basis and 50 pounds or more on a random basis. Bending stooping or sitting for long periods of time.
