Darrow School — Faculty Position: Humanities
Darrow School is expanding and seeks a versatile humanities educator to join our college-preparatory high school program.
Position: Humanities Teacher (1 opening) Term: August 2026 – May 2027 Student Population: Grades 9–12 and Post-Graduate; international and domestic students Class Size: Small groups ensuring individualized attention
Teaching Responsibilities
- Teach 5 classes daily across 3 preps
- Teach across both the English and History departments
- Design and deliver an engaging, inquiry-based humanities curriculum for a multicultural student body
- Serve as academic advisor to 10-12 students
- Maintain regular communication with parents and coaches
- Participate in progress monitoring and assessment
- Use Darrow's Learning Management System for grade reporting and communication

Qualifications
- Independent school teaching experience preferred
- Experience working with international students and high-level athletes is a plus
- Strong ability to teach across multiple course levels
- Strong communication and collaborative skills
- Commitment to supporting student-athletes
