Electrical Engineer / Controls Designer

Location: Greer, South Carolina | Full-time | Up to 25% Travel

Salary: $80,000 to $140,000 Dependent on experience (DOE)

We are hiring for a Controls Designer to join a dynamic engineering team supporting industrial automation projects from concept through commissioning.

• Designing controls hardware architecture across various industrial applications
• Creating electrical schematics, BOMs, panel layouts, and pneumatic diagrams
• Collaborating with mechanical and software engineers to deliver fully integrated systems
• Supporting commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting in the field
• Applying standards such as NEC, NFPA, UL, ISO and RIA in your designs
  

• Associate degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or equivalent (Bachelor’s preferred)
• 5 years of hands-on controls hardware design experience
• CAD proficiency (E-Plan preferred; AutoCAD or SolidWorks accepted)
• Familiarity with relevant codes: NEC, NFPA 79/70E, UL 508A, ISO 13849-1, RIA 15.06
• Strong documentation, planning, and communication skills
  

• 1–2 years’ experience programming PLCs or other control devices
• Experience assisting with installations and field commissioning
  

• On-site role in Greer, SC with shop and office-based design work
• Occasional client site visits (up to 25% travel)
