Class A CDL Driver- home every night - regular working hours - no weekends
Darnall Concrete Products Co. is a manufacturer of concrete manholes, septic tanks and other construction related items. We are seeking a Class A CDL truck driver to safely deliver our product into the market.
The employee will be responsible for safe operation of trucks, including loading and unloading with a truck-mounted boom, and performing routine maintenance and basic repairs. When not driving, the employee should be capable of diagnosing mechanical issues, troubleshooting problems, and servicing trucks to ensure optimal performance.
This role requires physical dexterity, safety awareness, and the ability to handle minor repairs to keep equipment in good, operational condition. The position offers consistent home time, no weekend work, and a supportive work environment.
Delivery area is normally within 60 miles of Bloomington/Normal so you will be home every night. This employee will need to become efficient in the operation of a truck mounted boom in order to load/unload product.
Qualifications
Class A CDL without ‘E’ Restriction (Automatic Transmission). All trucks have manual transmissions.
Diagnose mechanical issues, troubleshoot problems, and service trucks as needed during slow periods to minimize downtime.
Physical ability to climb up and down from truck beds and safely secure loads
MVR with a safe history
Current medical certificate
Drug screening

Responsibilities
Safely operate manual tandem axle flatbed truck and manual semi tractor trailers
Load concrete structures with truck mounted boom and unload at jobsites
Navigate and manuever truck to best and safest position on jobsites
Perform daily vehicle checks and routine maintenance on trucks to keep in well maintained condition
