Under general supervision, the QIDP is responsible for the assessment of needs, planning and implementation of processes to meet the needs of those served in the ICF/ID units assigned. Monitors the provision of services, takes action to improve the effectiveness of services. Supervises employees and manages the physical plant and individual funds of those served.
Job Duties:
1. Supervises, monitors, observes, coaches, and advises ICF/ID house managers and direct support employees to assure on-going compliance with standards of operation, policies and procedures, and the care, training and supervision and active treatment needs for those using the ICF/ID residential service.
2. Collaborates with residential and administration staff and completes and implements action plans to assure compliance with licensing, life safety code, utilization, certification, and other inspections in compliance with federal, state, DDSN and agency policy, procedures, rules, and regulations governing the ICF/ID operation.
3. Supervises and manages the supervision of and scheduling of staff within budgetary constraints for residential services and for program implementation.
4. Serves on agency committees and in planning groups; conducts training, participates in training, maintaining required certifications and annual requirements for training
5. Directs the management of all consumers’ finances in accordance with DDSN directive 200-12 and agency policies and procedures.
6. Reviews and responds to incident and injury reports, plans, and implements actions to correct issues identified; conducts administrative investigations as assigned.
Training and Educational Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in a human service-related field or business management from an accredited four-year college with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in the field of disabilities and special needs. At least one year of experience in residential programs and management for people with disabilities. Current valid S.C. driver’s license.
Physical Requirements: Reading, writing, driving, standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, handling, speaking, hearing, seeing, depth perception and color vision.
Skills and Knowledge Requirements: Knowledge of strategies for quality enhancement. Ability to express ideas clearly and concisely. Ability to analyze needs, keep records, plan direct and review work of subordinates. Basic management and supervisory skills.
