What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Med Tech (CMT) 2nd shift position at Darlington Assisted Living?
- Passing med for 36 people, 2nd shift is light.
- Administer routine and as needed medications, either prescription or non-prescription, to patients daily.
- Coordinate with the nurse to assist with patient care and medications.
- Follow written or verbal instructions on how to manage medications.
- Able to work under pressure while maintaining safety.
- Record medication dosages, times and prn results
- Observe patients, document and report any changes in their condition.
- Gather and send samples to the lab for analysis when ordered.
- Uphold all health and safety standards.
- Able to recognize when meds are needed and reorder when necessary, follow through and ensure delivery.
- Respond to patient emergencies as per protocol.
- Ability to use intercom systems, to identify patient needs, to answer phones and take messages.
- Represent Darlington assisted living in a professional manner, always putting the needs of our residents first.
- Strong interpersonal skills and able to work as a team player
- FLEXIBILITY to pick up shifts as needed.
- Patience and understanding for geriatric patients and patients with mental illnesses
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $22.00 - $23.00 per hour
