Job Summary
Come live among doughnuts and coffee a couple of days a week! Darling Doughnuts, located on Broadway, in the heart of Saratoga Springs, is seeking a part-time, front-of-house person to serve up doughnuts and drinks on weekends primarily. Please read through to the end and contact us accordingly.
Shifts are typically 6 hours long. We're open between the hours of 7:30am – 6pm. This is primarily a weekend position, with maybe a weekday, too, if schedule fits.
Duties in addition to serving doughnuts and running register also include:
- Making and serving drinks—coffees, teas, lattes, etc.
- Setting up the front of house in the morning
- Keeping FOH and work areas clean, organized and supplies stocked
- Closing up and cleaning up at the end of day
We're looking for someone friendly and pleasant—even when extremely busy—who's able to follow procedures, can resist the urge to be on their mobile phone during their shift, and gets their tasks done without having to be micro-managed. The shop is busy, especially on weekends, so you'll be expected to hustle and keep cool at the same time.
Some food or beverage service experience is helpful, but lack of it is not necessarily a deal breaker for the right person.
We're a hardworking group at Darling Doughnuts, but we're also a very friendly and eclectic group with unique interests and aspirations. Darling Doughnuts was recently ranked #4 Best Doughnut Shop in the Country by USA Today. So that's pretty cool.
This a regular, ongoing position, ideal for someone for whom 2-3 shifts a week, particulary weekends, works well with their schedule.
Pay starts at $16/hr base plus tips.
