Duties
- Perform installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, and ventilation equipment.
- Service refrigeration systems such as ice makers ,refrigeration units, and commercial coolers, ensuring optimal performance.
- Diagnose electrical issues using tools like ohmmeters and interpret schematics to identify system faults accurately.
- Conduct plumbing work related to HVAC and refrigeration systems to ensure proper water flow and drainage.
- Repair appliances including washers, dryers, ovens, and other household or commercial units with precision and care.
- Read and interpret technical schematics, HVAC design plans, and mechanical diagrams to guide repairs and installations effectively.
- Maintain property by performing routine inspections, preventative maintenance tasks, brazing repairs when necessary, and ensuring all equipment operates safely and efficiently.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an HVAC technician or service technician with a strong background in refrigeration systems.
- Knowledge of construction principles related to building systems and property maintenance.
- Mechanical aptitude with experience working on air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration systems, and appliances.
- Ability to read schematics accurately and apply HVAC design principles during troubleshooting or installation.
- Familiarity with plumbing techniques relevant to HVAC/R applications; brazing skills are a plus.
- Field service experience demonstrating excellent problem-solving skills in diverse environments.
- Use of diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters; ability to repair equipment using proper techniques including brazing if needed.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record;
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience in equipment repair and maintenance tasks involving complex systems like HVAC/R or boiler operations.
