Duties
- Bathe, dry, and groom pets to meet breed standards and owner preferences, including pet coat styling and pet nail trimming
- Handle animals gently yet securely during bathing and grooming procedures, utilizing animal restraint techniques as needed
- Perform pet care tasks such as brushing coats, cleaning ears, expressing glands, and maintaining overall hygiene
- Communicate effectively with pet owners about grooming needs, special instructions, and aftercare recommendations
- Maintain cleanliness of grooming stations, tools, and equipment to ensure a sanitary environment
- Lift heavy equipment or pets safely during grooming sessions to prevent injury or discomfortQualifications
- Prior experience in dog handling, animal handling, or pet grooming is highly preferred
- Familiarity with dog training techniques and animal restraint methods
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with pet owners
