We're seeking a CUAS Operations Analyst & Planner for a unique, tailored mission.

Responsibilities

This role will be a critical component of the overall CUAS mission within the CJTF-OIR area of operations, maintaining coordinating authority for all CJTF-OIR CUAS operations and planning efforts. As a key subject matter expert with both CUAS and Air Defense experience, you will review, assess, and recommend operating footprints based on identified capabilities and gaps, advise on emerging tasks, and synchronize efforts across the AOR. You will have the opportunity to gain and showcase knowledge on systems and threats in place or future systems and threats to help mold a heightened level of security for forces abroad. Based on the nature of this role, and the criticality of its outcome, you can expect to be tied into briefings with ARCENT and CENTCOM leadership regularly.

 

This role will be based out of Shaw AFB, SC with time spent OCONUS (Kuwait) on a recurring basis.

 

  • Serve as USARCENT G39 Liaison to CJTF-OIR in effort to provide near real time CUAS operational status and employment considerations.
  • Provide planning input to emergent tasks across the CJTF-OIR CUAS Protection Directorate and USARCENT CUAS Coordination Cell.
  • Provide feedback to CJTF-OIR J36 and USARCENT G39 for the daily accountability and reporting of all blue force CUAS capability across CJTF-OIR Area of Responsibility.
  • Identify current CJTF-OIR CUAS capability gaps and requirements to mitigate emerging threat profiles.
  • Synchronize CJTF-OIR CUAS capabilities across the CJTF-OIR Area of Responsibility ensuring cross component integration of capabilities.
  • Support CJTF-OIR J36 CUAS equities on Combatant Command and Component level information exchange to include Boards, Bureaus, Centers, Cells, and Working Groups (B2C2WG) and General Officer level briefings.
  • Communicate effectively to inform CJTF-OIR, USARCENT, and USCENTCOM leadership and staff on readiness of all CUAS platforms across CJTF-OIR operational environment.
  • Provide CJTF-OIR with assessments and recommendations on the application of CUAS assets against emerging threat profiles for mitigation.

 

OPERATING HOURS AND EXPECTATIONS:

  • This position operates on a standard 8 hour schedule Monday - Friday when not OCONUS.  Possible overtime, as needed.

TRAVEL:

  • Split time between Shaw (CONUS) and (OCONUS)

Qualifications

CLEARANCE:

  • Active and current Secret clearance at the time of application. 

 

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's Degree or minimum 15 years of military experience.

 

CERTIFICATION(S): 

  • N/A

 

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

 

  • Minimum two (2) years of Air Defense or CUAS planning experience in either Service Component Command, Combatant Command or Joint Staff organization.
  • Prior US Army Air Defense 14G40 (SFC or above), 140A (CW3 or above) or 14A (MAJ or above).

 

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience with Army Air Defense digital mission command systems to include: AMDWS, FAAD C2, and ADSI.
  • Working knowledge of the Military Orders process for the effective staffing at Battalion, Brigade, and Service Component Command levels.
  • Experience with the staffing of integrating CUAS with Air Defense systems and processes.

This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base salary for the advertised job, promotion, or transfer opportunity. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. The actual salary offered may vary based on various factors including but not limited to relevant experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, education, geographic location, as well as internal equity, and alignment to market data.Job Type: Full-time (onsite)

Pay Range: $120,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
