Position: Volunteer Coordinator

Position Type: Part-Time / As Needed (1099 – Non-W2)

Benefits: None at this time

Location: In-Person (with opportunities for remote work, and outreach)

Directly Reports: Jordan Simmons, Chief Operating Officer

Supervising Position: Yes

Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, organized Volunteer Coordinator to manage and grow our volunteer program on a part-time, as-needed (PRN) contract basis. The position is PRN (flexible hours), with a maximum of 19 hours per week. Pay starts at $25.00/hr(usd)

This role is responsible for recruiting, onboarding, scheduling, training, supervising and recognizing volunteers; maintaining accurate records; and coordinating volunteer activities, and overseeing company run events.

Training & Compensation Structure

Probationary

  • Base Pay: $25.00 (while on the clock)
  • During this period you will complete all required state and company trainings. (Company paid, and paid for training)
  • Shadowing community outreach (with another coach, or management)
  • Shadow company events, to include online events
  • Attend management trainings (online and in-person)

This phase prepares you begin building this program, provides management training and skills development to be the best leader you can be, and trained to ensure you feel comfortable and ready for you Post-Probationary Phase.

Post-Probationary Phase

  • Base Pay: $26.00 DOE (while on the clock)
  • Recruit and screen prospective volunteers through via interviews
  • Conduct volunteer orientations and provide role-specific training or coordinate training with staff.
  • Maintain volunteer shifts, projects and events. (Includes a few weekend days a month)
  • Evaluate volunteer program effectiveness and recommend improvements
  • Create, update and maintain volunteer materials

Requirements

  • 1 year(s) of management/supervising experience
  • Background check required (paid by company) per federal regulations of working with vulnerable populations.
  • 1 year(s) working with volunteers or event planning/overseeing
  • Must adhere to a strict no-tolerance policy for substance use while working
  • Remain HIPPA compliant at all times
  • Strong communication skills
  • Weekend availability

*Due to providing all software costs, office space, and pay for all trainings and programs related to your job duties to include a base pay, we ask that for the first 6 months of contracting with us to help offset costs that a total of $325 a month is paid by the first of each month to help with clinic upkeep costs. Included with the $325 is your own office space inside our clinic suite, lobby access, private key to employee only elevator, and 24/7 access to all the amenities in our clinic to include any supplies needed for volunteers and events.
